Every year, we organize dozens of different events across the Czech Republic, through which we regularly open the most interesting and pressing social issues. We combine leading policies with experts from around the world, representatives of the most successful companies and professional public. We give to discussions a new dimension and bring innovative solutions. So, we hope to see you soon, check out our events that we're preparing.

The Institute for Politics and Society and the Friedrich Naumann Foundation will hold a business breakfast, Future of Professions in the 21st Century. The event is considered a follow-up project to the conference Digital Czech Republic (16th January 2017) and its panel “Education 4.0 and Impact on the Labour Market”.

The purpose of the business breakfast is to ensure deeper discussion on the future of professions in the age of digitization. A series of debates on particular educational and legal topics will follow and will be held in cooperation with the Institute´s working groups on Education and Law.

Digitization’s impact on personal and work life is going to change both society and our individual lives in a very short amount of time. These changes are coming with a new wave of development, the so-called Industry 4.0. Digitization is entering our lives in ways that none of us could have imagined. Digital technologies have a positive effect – they can increase productivity, develop the integration of processes and products, increase the flexibility of production and shorten the innovation cycle. On the other hand, there is a question of the labour environment and the future of professions. Education 4.0 is surely going to influence the labour market due to partial replacement of human work and due to the increasing demand on digitally educated people.

The aim of the meeting is to identify the main issues and find concrete solutions for questions about the future of professions and the role of education in the age of digitization and the changing role of students, teachers/scholars, and future clients.

Our honoured guests are:

H.E. Moon Seoung-hyun, Ambassador of Korea to the Czech Republic

Martina Dlabajová, MEP (ALDE)

The business breakfast will be moderated by Bohumil Kartous, member of the working group Education within the Institute for Politics and Society, and head of communication of EDUin.

The event will be held in English without translation services and it is by invitation only.
